Badger was our beautiful Border Collie puppy, not a day went by that he didn't make us laugh or smile with his cute little traits. He only lived for 10 months, but in that time he lit up all of our lives. He was extremely loveable and loved nothing more than to be in the company of his family. We will never forget our special little boy.

BIG HEART

One day up in heaven,
While God was looking down,
He saw people alone and sad,
And He gave a little frown.
He wanted to think of something,
To make those people smile,
Then the answer came to Him,
After He'd thought awhile.
He'd give them a companion,
One whose love was true,
Faithful they would be,
No matter what the people do.
Four legs they would have,
And they would never fail,
To greet these people every time,
With a happy wagging tail.
He'd give them a big heart,
To hold all the love inside,
That love would last forever,
Even after they had died.
For across that Rainbow Bridge,
Would be a special place,
Where they would wait and watch,
To see their master's face.

My best friend spoke to me last night
a soft whisper in my ear.
I woke up and looked around the room,
I was startled yet I had no fear.
ჱܓ
My best friend said that all is fine
Rainbow bridge is so much more.
That there was so much love up there,
even a beautiful ocean shore.
ჱܓ
There is fields and fields of green green grass
and the sky has different shades of blue.
There are flowers, mountains, trees and clouds,
everything they said it was, is true.
ჱܓ
My best friend whispered in my ear last night
saying "Please don't cry or be sad.
That what was done, had to be done,
for me to live my life now so be glad".
ჱܓ
My best friend said that I did the right thing
an unselfish act on my part.
And that this pain & sadness I feel
will be gone soon from my heart.

I asked my best friend "How could this be
I miss you so much everyday.
That my heart hurts so much for you,
I wish there could of been another way".

I am Stephs dad, who set up Badgers memorial, he only lived for 10 months, but he was probably the most intelligent dog that I have ever owned. He knew many little tricks and loved learning more, after Badgers untimely death we waited a month before buying Barney another Border Collie, he to is a great dog with a personality all of his own.
Badger will always be missed by us all but he will now be reunited with Michele (my wife) who he truely adored.
Be a good boy for your mum, and look after her in heaven.

Beyond the Rainbow
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.
